Homemade Biscuits

Who really likes a canned biscuit?? NOT ME!!!
 This recipe is very simple and makes a yummy biscuit!

What you will need:

2 Cups All purpose Flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 pinch of salt
8 tablespoons of butter
3/4 cup milk


Stir together flour, sugar,salt,baking powder

Cut in butter
YES BUTTER!
Why??
Because Butter has FLAVOR!


It should start to look like Cornmeal

Make a well in your mixture

add milk

mix

add mixture on floured surface

flatten about an inch thick

use a glass or biscuit cutter
 to cut biscuits to ensure they are the same size





Bake 425 for 10-13 minutes
add some extra butter over hot biscuits





Fried green tomatoes


Fried Green Tomatoes are the most devine fresh off the vine
*SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL FARMERS MARKET*
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
4 green tomatoes
red pepper flakes
salt
pepper
garlic powder
milk
cayenne pepper
paprika
corn meal
1 cup of flour




Rinse tomatoes
Drain on paper towel
slice


season flour

Stir in one tablespoon of cornmeal


Set up a breading station

drop tomato in milk
Then Flour
Fry in oil


Drain on paper towel


you can give them a small sprinkle of salt when they come out of oil if you like

Southern Classic

mmmm breadpudding.. Something that most people in the south know alot about. Now there are many variations of this Bama Classic but this is my family's personal recipe.



What you will need:
14 slices of bread
2 eggs
3 cups of milk
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 stick of butter
1 dash of cinnamon (optional)

Start by adding bread to your mixing bowl
Cover with milk
Eggs

then sugar
Add vanilla and butter
Mix

Bake at 375 until Golden Brown
and slightly solid
(depending on oven, 20-30 minutes)

Mmmm Cover in Caramel Sauce for a yummy dessert!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Love parties? Tired of making the same old things? Love hot wings? Try out this spicy buffalo chicken dip recipe!

What you will need:
2 packages of cream cheese
3-5 Chicken breasts
Hot wing sauce (as much as you like, we like SPICY so we used about 1/2 of the bottle)
Ranch Dressing (we used 1/2 a cup but add it to your taste)
Shredded Cheddar Cheese (as much as you like, we used almost an entire package)


Cook Chicken Breast
Chop or Shred


Add in some hot wing sauce

Mix cream cheese,ranch and hot sauce



stir in cheddar cheese
 (we added 1 handfull to start off with and added it until we felt comfortable with it)

mix in chicken (as much as you like)



cover and bake at 350 until bubbly,
 top with cheese bake an additional 10 minutes until melty and cheesy


We didn't get to take a picture after it came out of the oven 
because it was half gone before we got the camera out!

Your sweetest sin

Love Cornbread?? Hate when it comes out flat dry and crumbly? Try out this yummy sweet cake like cornbread. It's sure to knock your socks off!!

What you will need:
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup sugar
3 1/4 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/3 cup of oil

Stir together cornmeal,sugar,salt and baking powder

Add Flour
Stir in one egg


Add Milk

Then Oil
Stir until smooth and looks like cake batter

Bake at 400 until golden
(depending on oven, 18-22 minutes)
Make sure to coat pan with nonstick cooking spray
or a little extra oil
