All Aboard the Gravy Train!

Gravy is one of those things that most people buy in a package that reads “just add water” when in all honesty; it’s just as easy to make it from scratch!

What you will need:

Butter

Flour

2 cups Chicken or beef stock

Salt & Pepper

Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a hot pan

Add 3 1/2 tablespoons of flour

Wisk to combine

Slowly add 1/3 of your chicken stock

Wisk until Smooth

Add the remainder of stock
bring to boil
Reduce to simmer
Continue to wisk every few minutes until gravy becomes thick

  1. If you want to make homemade country gravy its almost the same thing. All that's required is:
    4 tbs Butter melted
4 tbs Flour mixed into the butter
    2 1/4 cup of Milk
Whisk until smooth and thick. Salt and pepper to your liking. I love pepper gravy so I try to use a little more then .most people. But if you don't put some salt in, it will have a flour taste, so some salt is a must.
